Hello world!! My name is Emersyn and I am a US Army Veteran who did a tour in the Middle East in 2010. I served honorably and met some of my favorite people along the way. After the Army I worked as a professional chef for nearly a decade before transitioning into working in the film and television world.
In 2024 I went back to school for audio production and have worked as a post production sound designer ever since. Although I adore sound design, I decided to further my education at Full Sail University and pursue a Masters of Art in New Media Journalism. I plan on using my masters degree to learn all of the ins and outs of new media journalism so that I can become a wonderful story teller. I will utilize the skills I learn to tell military true crime stories on my website, Boots & Betrayal.
In my free time I enjoy going on adventures with my three dogs. We recently moved up to Pittsburgh, PA from Florida so we still have a lot of places to explore. I also do search and rescue with my youngest dog, Beignet. When I am not going on adventures with my dogs I enjoy playing my drums, mixing music, and going to concerts with my friends. I also thoroughly enjoy listening to true crime podcasts and watching true crime documentaries, which helped me dial in on my journalism beat.
